cdr files problem

Post by GMA »

Hi, I have XnView Classic newly installed under Windows 10 Prof. I used to be able to see all my cdr files as thumbnails if I entered the corresponding directory. Now that does not work any more. When I click on a thumbnail, the answer is (in German, I translate): "cant open file. Go to settings, click on open all available formats". I do that but that does not work".
Solutions??

The site says: It supports more than 500 image formats!
however, only 225 is supported
including 'cdr' not supported
how to activate all 500 formats?

'cdr' not included
225 file formats, not 500 as indicated on the main page
How to enable support for all 500 formats?

You have to activate Display all image file types in ToolsOptions…GeneralGeneral.

XnView can only display the embedded thumbnails of CDR files because it's a proprietary format.

Yes. Did you restart XnView?

I can't reproduce :-?
Do you see CDR files in the browser if you set ViewFilter by to All?

PS: Could you please check if AllFormats in the [Start] section of xnview.ini (InfoAbout…INI file location) is set to 1?

sorry for necroing this thread, but I have the same problem. I verified the settings mentioned (couldn't find the .ini file because its XNViewMP perhaps), in About->Formats cdr is visible though, still I get no preview
