XnViewMP 0.93 on linux mint 17.3

Post by canguru »

Hi all,
I downloaded XnViewMP-linux-x64.deb (the current version 0.93) and started it. But nothing happens, only the sandwatch turns a while...
When calling "xnview" in a terminal window, the message
/opt/XnView/XnView: relocation error: /opt/XnView/lib/libQt5WebKit.so.5: symbol _ZTVNSt7__cxx1115basic_stringbufIcSt11char_traitsIcESaIcEEE, version GLIBCXX_3.4.21 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference
appears.
Has anybody an idea what wrong and how to solve it?
thanks!

Looks like someone else has an issue with .93 on Mint viewtopic.php?f=62&t=38545

You may have better luck with the static .92 - just unpack and run ./xnview.sh from inside the folder.

Thank you, bin!
The hint help me for downgrading. Now XnViewMP 0.92 is running again as exepted. For me it seems, the installation process of 0.93 does not install everything what is needed, because it's very faster terminated than 0.92.
