How do you get webms to play in xnview?

Post by Question »

I remember getting xnview to play webms on my old laptop, but I cannot remember how. I tried searching for a plugin, but found none...nor any threads that explain how to get it working. Tried installing the webp plugin into the plugins sub folder and it didnt work. How do you get xnview to play webms?

Thanks, that gave me the clue I needed.

For anyone interested, download the webm codecs from here : https://www.webmproject.org/ie/, xnview classic will be able to play webm files after.

Actually, I spoke too soon, its not 100% working yet.

When I double click to open a webm file, xnview classic 2.46 launches, but it does not play the file. It just has a blank window.

If I drag the webm file to xnview, it starts playing, but I get a blank video screen : https://i.imgur.com/MASQffM.jpg

BUT if I open the webm from the xnview browser, it will start playing perfectly.

Why?

Edit : Just noticed that while the webm will play when opened from the xnview browser, it only plays once and will not loop.
