XnView MP won't open on macOS High Sierra

Hi im mad, i downloaded xnviewmp for mac and it never opens no matter what i do, i just get an error message. someone know why it doesnt open ?

oh , its a poorly maintained program. it only runs on unsupported macos, seems xnview development stopped on macos years ago

really? link me to a version that works with my version of macos , and if it works ill change my mind

I'm not a macOS user, but the current XnView MP version 0.89 should run on High Sierra according to the linked post above...

Looks like a security issue from your screenshot, is there possibly an 'Advanced...' setting you can change?

If you Google macos "identity of the developer" there are a number of links you might find helpful, for example this one:

ive unzipped and tried that one and i still get same results , and i already searched up that identity stuff and did the commands and it still didnt work , i show in the screen shot that i have allow apps from anywhere on. but its okay ,i found something much better than xnview called picasa

XnConvert is working perfect for me and able to convert Atari sample IMG files. Try installing again and open the app by right click -> context menu -> open (to bypass gatekeeper) or try downloading from the Mac App Store https://itunes.apple.com/app/xnconvert/id436203431

The Mac app store version worked fine! I did the gatekeeper bypass thing, so there must have been something wrong with the file itself.

Anyway, XnConvert works great!
As a bonus, I got XnView MP to work as well.

i've fixed the problem on XnConvert app bundle, but currently i have always a problem with XnViewMP app bundle...
