Views per file settings in 'Interface' section are confusing
'Multiple view for same file' and 'Only one view per file' options seem to be redundant. It's unclear what the difference, if any, is between them.

Re: Views per file settings in 'Interface' section are confu
This confused me as well, hence I found this post. And it took me several minutes reading and some experimentation before I realised what it did.
The confusion for me is in the wording 'Multiple view for same file' - it makes it sound like I was going to see multiple instances of the same image on the screen.
'Multiple views for same file' makes it a lot clearer in my mind as views are synonymous with tabs in XnView.

my try:
- Multiple view for the same file ->
Allow multiple tabs for the same file OR
Allow (to open) same file in multiple tabs

'Viewer' can be added to be precise:
Allow multiple Viewer tabs for the same file OR
Allow (to open) same file in multiple Viewer tabs
I would also:
- avoid using 'view' for Viewer
- write modes with capital letter
- Synchronize browser when view is closed →
Select file in Browser when Viewer tab is closed OR
Select file in Browser after closing Viewer tab
as Synchronize is a little bit too generous, for 2 actions: changing filelist and selecting file
- Drag&Drop: Open one view for filelist →
Drag&Drop: Open single Viewer tab for filelist
