Hi,
I have a lot of pictures organized in several folders.
When I load them in XNConvert, some of them the program shows as they are, as shown in windows explorer, some of them it shows as rotated by +90 degree.
This causes errors when I apply some actions, like cropping, because it is not possible to calculate the pixels that should be cropped.
I have observed that for all of these images, there is a rotation arrow sign in the thumbnail, whereas for the others which are displayed normally there is not.
Please advice why some images are rotated automatically by the program.

Re: XNConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Your pictures have the exif orientation field, so XnConvert use it...

Re: XNConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
Thank you for this information.
Please advice how I can remove this EXIF information flag, so that the program shows the picture not rotated, independently of the EXIF flag.
Thank you
Mikel

Re: XNConvert shows the image automatically rotated
you can remove it with XnView, but perhaps it will be good to have a settings in XnConvert...
Pierre.
Re: XnConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
I checked all the settings in xnconvert, but I do not see any settings that allow to bypass or ignore the "rotate" flag.
Please help me, where is this setting in xnconvert?
Thank you.
Mikel.

Re: XnConvert shows the image automatically rotated
Hi Pierre,
Ok, thank you very much on this. I would be good to have also such a setting here.
BTW, even on XNView, I have not realized how to "ignore" the EXIF orientation flag. Is it possible that you advice me how to do it on XNView?
Thank you
Mikel
