Can’t see the Geotag icon although files have GPS xmp tags

Hi everybody !

The problem is in the title.

I have set the gps tags in xmp sidecar files of raw files (Canon CR2) using Digikam.
Problem is that although there are some gps tags in xmp file, XnView doesn’t show the GPS icon and it doesn’t show either the GPS tab.
jpeg files’ informations are correctly set.
I have set some GPS tags for other raw files (in xmp sidecar files) and Xnview display the information correctly.
Is there something to do to have XnView MP displaying existing GPS tags ?
I thought that it was done automatically, but it’s not always the case.

I’ve just explored a bit more : in the second case (file which GPS data are correctly read), it appears that these data are written in the raw file.
(right click / property on the file).
Maybe it could be an explanation.

I have a similar problem with Canon CR3 RAW files. GPS coordinates are given in associated XMP sidecar files in the form, for example,

<exif:GPSLatitude>30,27.945288N</exif:GPSLatitude>

Even though I have Settings > Sidecar > RAW set to "Yes", XnView MP shows no GPS data under the EXIF tab of the Properties window, nor does it show a GPS tab. It DOES show GPS coordinates under the XMP and ExifTool tabs.

Other software (Lightroom, FastRawView) display GPS coordinates IF sidecar XMP files are used. If sidecar files are not used, they show no GPS data, indicating that the CR3 files itself contain no GPS data.
