Version 0.86 64bits (Apr 25 2017)
Libformat version 7.00
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1703 latest
Effect: XnView "error" dialog with message and button OK:
An error ocured, files can't be renamed
To reproduce:
1. Browse a folder A with image (JPEG format).
2. Select image file.
3. Open Tools->Batch Rename...
4. Check on "Name Template" and paste template: {Filename}, {EXIF:Latitude} {EXIF:Longitude}
5. Click OK
Actual behaviour (bug): XnView error dialog with OK button - "An error ocured, files can't be renamed", no debug or description of problem...
Expected behaviour: Files renamed as in Xnview (all versions last year)
Preview - show old and new name is working
Rename without exif-gps in template worked too.
---update and finded bug in filename character ":
Open Batch Convert
Code: Select all
C:\1.jpg 3264x2448x24 : loaded
C:\1, gps 55° 44' 0.14" 44° 4' 44.17".jpg : create error
Input files: 1
Extracted pages: 1
New files: 1
Total Duration: 0 second(s)
55° 44' 0.14" 44° 4' 44.17".
Result: A file name can't contain any of the following characters: \ / : * ? < > |"
Why not use a short format - 55.733372, 44.078936 without ° and ' and "?
Can I somehow correct the error myself before the fix?
