MP is missing a really cool feature.
In Classic you could automagically hide the tab bar if there is only one open window:
This is awesome if you quickly want to view a single picture as you don't need tabs and the pic gets maximum vertical viewing space.
The smart tab bar setting is sorely missing in XnView MP.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.5.0 beta. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Re: Missing feature: Hide tab bar
Just installed 1.5.0 final.
'Hide tab when only 1 opened' is working splendidly.
When I have only one picture, I get maximum space.
Once I open another picture, the tab bar is shown.
If I close the second picture, the tab bar disappears as expected.
It's time to fully switch to MP.

As I have suggested in another thread I would very much like to see an option to disable displaying the tab bar altogether but leaving the keyboard shortcuts for tab-switching in place ( see viewtopic.php?f=60&t=44675&p=184086#p184086 ).

Re: Missing feature: Hide tab bar
I am having an issue with this feature.
It only works as it is supposed the first time. After I check the "Hide Tb when only one is opened" checkbox and confirm with "OK" the tab is hidden and the picture goes full-screen.
However, if I close XnView and open a new file, the tab will be visible. In the settings the checkbox is still checked.
