0.98.0 & 0.96.5: Tagging from view mode fails in multiple ways

Subject: 0.98.0 & 0.96.5: Tagging from view mode fails in multiple ways
XnView: MP 0.98.0 (and 0.96.5)
OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit

I realized someone just posted a problem with 'tagging' and 'category filtering'.
However, I believe mine is a separate issue; and there-fore, a separate bug report.

[preface: I browse a subset of photos by selecting a group of photos and hit <ENTER>.
I do not know what this is called; but one bug only happens under this condition.]

Effect: tagged file list is wrong.

To reproduce problem #1: When in view mode [without selecting files] and using Control-T to toggle 'TAG' flag:
  1. enter view mode.
  2. scroll thru files.
  3. turn on 'View>show inform' so you can see the 'tagged' flag.
  4. use Control-T to toggle the flags on some files.
  5. return to browse mode.
in 0.98.0, I can CLEAR tags; but I cannot SET tags.
in 0.96.5, it works fine and I can SET or CLEAR tags.

To reproduce problem #2: When in view mode [with files selected and hitting <ENTER>] and using Control-T to toggle 'TAG' flag:
  1. select a few photos.
  2. use <ENTER> to enter view mode.
  3. scroll thru files.
  4. turn on 'View>show inform' so you can see the 'tagged' flag.
  5. use Control-T to toggle the flags on some files.
  6. return to browse mode.
in 0.96.5 & 0.98.0, nothing is changed after returning to BROWSE view.

Actual behaviour (bug): while in view mode; I cannot SET or CLEAR 'tag' flag :bug:

Expected behaviour: Control-T working the same in VIEW mode and BROWSE mode.

I can't reproduce it in latest version

:bugconfirmed: Thanks to your detailed description I can reproduce the problem.
