1.6.4 64-bit Linux showing different filename time

Post by digPhFx24 »

When the browser brings in a folder to display, the browser displays the file name, date, time incorrectly. It is ONE Hour earlier than the photo was actually taken.

Putting the cursor on the file name, it shows the incorrect filename first but underneath shows the correct BST time the photo was taken.
Why is this and how do I sort it please.
Thanks

I have downloaded it and installed and still have this issue.

I have delved further and looked at the mobile phone that I copied the photos from and it seems it is a GOOGLE ISSUE in how the camera app incorporated in the phone writes the filename.

Whereas most mobiles use the IMG format that is well understood, Google don't. They use there own PXL format and it is this that sets the filename up differently to what the IMG format would.

In my case it is ONE HOUR behind the current BST time which is saved in the EXIF area and appears under the Google PXL filename if you place your cursor on the PXL filename.

It seems that there is NO WAY for Google Pixel Owners/users to change this ~~~~ unless of course you know someone who has managed to do it. In which case please share.

Cheers
