Cant Scroll While Moving photos in Thumbnail

Hi I am new to XnView so this might be a really dumb question,

I am trying to move and sort photos and when I try to move them and scroll with my mouse it does not scroll if I slide my mouse around while scrolling it works to a degree but its jumps around. This is made worse when I select multiple files.

I googled around and saw some issues that were similar to my issue with scrolling but none that really helped in solving this issue, I keep changing the setting in mouse hoping for something to work but non do.

Any help would really be appreciated.
