Hello,
I have inserted IPTC metada inside OM System RAW files (ORF extension).
Surprinsingly, adding some text characters makes the file reduce in size a lot (about 300 kB), whereas I expected that it would increase the size of some bytes.
I have extracted the metada using ExifTool, and everything seams normal.
What else is changed during the operation of inserting metadata?
I am using XnView MP 1.7.2 64-bit on Windows 10.
The example files are available on

OK. Thanks Pierre.
For those who are interested and could find this information by a web search:
It seems that it is a good way to insert metadata in the original RAW file.
And the nice thing is that DxO PhotoLab treats these RAW files without problem and the JPEG files produced by PhotoLab keep the metadata.
So, when you tag the original RAW file, you do not have to tag all the files derived from this RAW.
