Zoom back the image to fit screen

Post by Denuvo »

Hi, I've found another minor issue during daily use:
When I set image to fit window and I zoomed the image after, zoom out and zoom in the image will not able to make the image to fit the window again ,except manually set the image to fit the window again.
Is there anyway to workaround it? It's minor to me so its ok if there's no possible solution at the moment to fix it, thanks! :D

when you zoom in/out, the 'auto image size' change to 'No fit'. The only way is to set it again with menu or shortcut

Ah! Might it not it be better to leave the menu value unchanged, so that it applies to subsequent images without having to be reset every time an image on the screen is zoomed? A fairly recent change?

Maybe we could introduce a mode that set the base minimum zoom-out size to fit the window(zoom-out to the size smaller than the window size is not allowed) like what windows photo viewer did to workaround this minor issue:)

I wouldn't say it's a big deal, but sometimes when zooming back and forth I'd like to have a 'Fit to window' value on the zoom scale.
Some settings like:
- Add 'Fit to window' value to zoom scale
- Disable zoom out below window size (same behavior as in MS Photo, may be handy as well)

It's been that way for as long as I can remember.
But you are right, it feels like 'auto image size' should not work as indictor, changing its state with zoom level.
I would prefer something like this:
- settings - persistent, change manually only
- menu - session-wise, copies from settings on start (if session is not stored)

There were a number of posts a while back about the Zoom lock option not working in the expected way, whereas I don't recall any problem using it before.

Could the issue discussed in the following thread v1.5.3 "Zoom lock" not working
be in any way related to the issue being discussed in this thread?
