Hi
I'm using XnView MP on Mac and I'd like to have more than one image open at the same time. I've made XnView MP my default app for images, and when I click an image it opens in view mode (not in fullscreen because I disabled that option), but when I open another one, it opens in the window of the first one. I would like to look at them at the same time, for example for comparing edited and non-edited photos. When I close the last opened image, the first one reappears. So they are actually 'open' at the same time, but not in multiple windows.
Is this possible? I can't seem to find it in the preferences.
Thanks in advance

Re: More windows at once in view mode
Not to sure, but look to these options.
1. Tab limit is set greater than 1
2. # of running instances. (Maybe you can use this for workaround)
Both are in the top part of settings. Full screen seems to have multiple bugs and maybe the cause.
Problems might occur when selecting 2 pics from different directories. I don't think tabs are allowed in 2 different folders..

This is how to open multiple instances of XnViewMp on Mac. From a Terminal command line:
open -n /Applications/XnViewMP.app/
open -n /Applications/XnViewMP.app/

This works well, thank you. I've added this command as an applicator in automator so clicking launches another instance.
I'm surprised it's so challenging just to open a second instance...
