Another sad downgrade compared to Classic: selecting whole image and copying it via CTRL+C no longer produces JPG-compatible blob that can be copypasted via CTRL+V onto Web2.0 pages like IMGUR or Discord.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who strongly dislikes the single weird tab above the menu with the word 'Browser' which has the close button to exit XnView. I sincerely hope you can make this into a setting to hide/remove that thing.
It used to be possible with Themes but they got axed.
Really makes you think.

For the UI, it's better. Menu can't be global, it follows the content of tab (browser, viewer, compare, ...)

Koogle wrote: Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:27 pm it's been over a year.. what is happening with this option i still don't see it an xnviewmp is still garbage to use without it.. makes xnview classic usable because I can open an image and have it resize the window to fit the window, or even scroll next/back to another image and it will resize....

in xnviewmp everytime I open a window it never bothers to resize the window to fit the image.. I mean maybe I'm missing something with that when the option for that is available.. but the "[View] > [Auto Image Resize] > [Fit image to desktop, large only]" definitely still doesn't exist.. why??
THIS is WHY I'm still on the Classic version and haven't made the jump to MP.

On several occasions I have tried to give the MP version a try and although it is obviously better, this option is a must for me. If you read manga and the pages in vertical resolution are larger than the monitor, it's hell.

Please, reconsider including this option in the MP version.
Do you think Xn MP could finally support this.. my original request was in 2019! .. please it's ridicoulous classic, is still better than mp for so much stuff still.

did you bother to check your own post Resize Window to Image and provide feedback there?
not saying "fit window to image" is the most annoying option, lol

Hi.
I want to ask.
In classic if I enter in zip file, can copy any marked file in any folder by choose. In MP if I try to do same, I get warning "Source dont exist".
how to fix this? or its missing future?

Understand. Thanks for answer, hope it will be fix.. This is very important future, one of main futures for me if honesty(so I choose from 3 progs and XnView me like more of all) - if pictures many, they need to be archived. and if getting many zips from net, unpacking for taken needable pics - its a problem..

Thanks for XnView!

MP more comfortable than classic - introduced changeable hotkeys and many options for comfort use, only problem in archive work..

Pierre, when this gets fixed, will it also be able to handle 7z files? I too really would like to work with archives.

Hello,

Very important feature is viewing corrupted files (i.e. files restored from "dead" HDD)
Classic version can do it, but MP throw an error.
Can't attach sample file due file size. Here the link to google drive:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thank you! It works. This option should be enabled by default IMHO. Even such tip in the error window will be useful.

I miss the Ctrl+DoubleClick on a selection from within the browser, that opens just these pictures for a comparison. Incredible helpful in Classic, wouldn't want to miss it. The reason, to still use Classic besides MP. Which ist waay better in memory handling, and has a lot of nice gimmicks!
Ctrl+DoubleClick - is it somewhere in MP, a way to reach it?
Thank you very much for XNView in general. Of course I already did more than one donation.

you can use keyboard
user0 wrote: Sun Jul 14, 2024 12:21 pm feature is already there:
1. select files in Browser
2. press Enter/Return (or 'Open' in context menu/toolbar)
images will be opened as filelist

It feels clumsy to open via LMB double-click as you have to click on not selected image, if you double-click on already selected image it will be missing from opened filelist. For this reason, I would not use double-click for this functionality.
