Do not rewrite file if Source size is more than Target

Post by ttrx »

I would like to request an option to not rewrite file if the Source size is more than a Target size.

Situation:

I am converting a bunch of Jpegs to Jpegs with lower quality, and sometimes the source files are already compressed enough so the converted image size becomes more than the source size.

I was hoping that preserve original quality will do that but it doesn't... :)

An option to only process files with a file size greater than a specified value has recently been added to the command line utility NConvert...

I think similar options to those recently added to NConvert could probably be easily added to XnConvert when Pierre has time, and would be useful additions... :D

One previous conditional conversion request: Keep original image if file size is smaller
