xx.pdf 0x0x0 : not a picture
Hi,
First time using this and ran into a problem right away. Here's what I did:
I'm on a Mac, scanned some student tests at 300dpi, using a Fuji Xerox scanner to a pdf file. Followed these instructions:
http://www.formscanner.org/quickstart-guide/convert-pdf
and got the "xx.pdf 0x0x0 : not a picture" result.
What went wrong? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Is Ghostscript installed on your system?

Hello forum!
I've run into the same issue!
I'm using Sierra 10.2, have XNConvert (64 bit) installed, and Ghostscript 9.21 installed. I've clicked to "ignore read errors". I still get the "not a picture" error when trying to convert PDFs.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Merci Pierre! Aside from using the Ghostscript install package (which I found here http://pages.uoregon.edu/koch/), how would I ensure it is written in my PATH? Thanks!

Hello,
I'm having the same issue on multiple PC's. I've read through many of the threads with the same and similar issues. I've installed Ghostscript, reinstalled XnConvert after installing ghostscript, ticked the "ignore read errors", and tested multiple pdf files. Both systems are running Win 10 Pro 64bit.
Is there a fix that you are aware of please?
Thank you,
J

Re: xx.pdf 0x0x0 : not a picture
I don't know when will this problem end. Now I have even a stranger situation.
Windows 10 pro/64bit (latest update)
XnConvert Version 1.80 - windows (Mar 2 2019) - Libformat version 7.26 (32bit)
XnView MP Windows Version 0.98.0 32bits (Dec 14 2020)
GhostScript 9.24
PDF->JPG works in XnConvert, but it doesn't work in XnView
I don't want to break XnConvert by installing a later version (1.90)
I have another Windows 10 where
I installed the latest XnConvert 1.90 and latest GhostScript 9.53.3
XnConvert doesn't work, but latest XnView works
can someone explain that
