sfw files

Post by OldMaineGuy »

I just downloaded XnConvert in order to be able to read some old floppy discs with Seattle Film Works pictures in the sfw format.

But I can't figure out how to get them loaded in the input section. All the .sfw files are grayed out so that I can not select them.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum, OldMaineGuy (-:

Please refer to the awesome SFW conversion portal for Seattle Filmworks/Photoworks .sfw files, maintained and updated regularly by Richard H. Jones.

If my SFW conversion portal that XnTriq mentioned doesn't get you headed in the right direction, you can post here or PM me with further questions.

1. Did you figure out how to get XnConvert working for you?
2. Did you try any of the solutions listed at the SFW conversion portal for your particular machine and/or for the machine for which the diskettes were originally made for?
3. What do the labels on your diskettes say?
4. What year/month was the film developed?
5. What are the filenames / filetypes on the diskettes?
6. Have you used sfwwhichfmt or TrID to determine the format?
7. Have you tried the old Photoworks software downloads?
