0.79: Switching mode ignored for videos

Using XnView MP 0.79 on Windows 7

In Tools>Settings>Interface>Switching Mode set
Use double-click to switch between: Browser > Viewer > Fullscreen
Use ENTER to switch between: Browser > Viewer > Fullscreen

In browser window, select an AVI thumbnail and hit ENTER key. Does not switch to Viewer.

In browser window, double-click an AVI thumbnail. Does not switch to Viewer.

Both of these actions work correctly with JPG thumbnails.
