Dreamer, I'm not able to reproduce an immediate GPF when I go to the Properties panel, but I can confirm that there is a delayed crash which seems to be related to Ctrl+RMB-clicking a file in Browser mode.

  1. In Browser mode, select one or more files.
  2. Press & hold the Ctrl key, then RMB-click the file(s).
  3. In the shell context menu, go to Send To » Desktop (create shortcut).
  4. XnView crashes immediately or upon exiting.
Confirm on WinXP+SP2 :(

Works OK here

:) Hello !

• I cannot confirm under XP-Pro SP1 (Fr) :
- Ctrl+RMB on the selected thumb nail,
- Properties item in the Win local menu,
- Opens OK, I can open each page from the tabs,
- [OK] button, closes normally.

Strange, now I have no crash too. :?

Edit: OK, so after opening two images, I have another crash.

Edit2: I have the random crashes, to reproduce try to select another image, ctrl+right click>properties and repeat these steps until crash occurs.

Vicious snag---

:) Hello !

• I repeated the handling for three thumb nails, and then I got a crash with RMB only (without Ctrl) on the 4th. !
- Testing again, I had to repeat this for a ten of thumbnails before to get the crash (a bit delayed) as :
AppName: xnview.exe AppVer: 1.96.0.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 01ec1650
• Hence, :bugconfirmed: altough it's very random…
