This beta detects 1.95.4 as a newer version

Post by dandv »

Just installed the beta and was happy to see the rotation being applied to the image only after the user stops typing.

Also noticed that it detects 1.95.4 as a newer version. Is this normal?

When starting from a file via TC into fullscreen view XnView crashes imediately on my Vista system. See also my other crash which might be cache related. I'm back to 1.954 now.

Mezich is the default, perhaps you had a .ini??
no, removing the .ini file and starting up xnview again also default to old skin (after choosing to use .ini from application folder)
(I noticed this on a fresh install of xnview 1.95.2 also)
Confirmed, Mezich is NOT a default skin.
Oh right
Pierre.

I get an error message starting the application:

This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Clicking 'ok' then starts the application which seems to work ok anyways.

My environment: Windows XP SP3 (English)
Anything else you need?

Don't worry about it. It's just a plug-in with dependency to runtime dll you don't have. The plug-in wont work without the dll file, but otherwise it XnView works normally.

To get rid of the message, you can either delete IlmImf.dll file XnView plugins directory or you can download msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll (also required) from internet and copy them in XnView directory.
