Quick filter on videos
I have been trying to get this to work for years with no luck.
I am trying to use XNView as a video library and just use catalog filter to navigate instead of folder structure. I am trying to use quick filter to filter the categories i have created but it just does it by file name no matter what i do.
I have it set to categoeries (catalog) in only in settings>browser>quick filter
and base path is default '\'
So to summarise
If i search rain while having the top category selected it selects anything with the filename rain and misses anything that i have "tagged" as rain.

Re: Quick filter on videos
I ran a test and it doesn't work for images either. I had just tested it on videos at that point.

Re: Quick filter on videos
the assigned categories are written in catalog only or in embedded XMP? when you click on the file in browser, it shows you categories?

Sorry I am a little confused but i think its only the catalog.
When you say browser i am assume you mean in XnView? Its showed the little icon saying there is a catalog on the thumbnail while browsing the folder window
