When doing a batch-rename of a file that has a companion file. If the rename template relies on EXIF data, that section is ignored for the companion file.
I have tried numerous approaches and all have failed:
1. including companion files in the list of batch files
2. excluding companion files from the list of batch files
3. enabling 'link companion files for the following actions: copy/move/rename'
4. disabling 'link companion files for the following actions: copy/move/rename'
This is happening in version 1.7.2 on Linux Mint 21.3.
I would have expected the name of the companion file to be renamed identically to the source file rather than having the rename engine examine the companion file for unique EXIF information.
