I just got KDE 6 Plasma running on my Dell Laptop. I switched to Wayland and all seemed well, until I tried to launch
XnviewMP. No go.

I'm finding KDE Plasma 6 to be buggier than Plasma 5. Wayland is especially bad, and some applications do not behave well on it.
I've switched back to X11. Everything works perfectly again.
Wayland is overrated, and is being pushed by many distros, which is what gives it legitimacy.
Ever heard the expression "Developers don't eat their own dog food"? It applies to the KDE developers too.
