Thank you first for your hard work and release of version 1.6.0!
1. File menu => save as => avif file format
I opened a png file and saved it to the avif format (different compression settings tested e.g. Quality 80%, Format 420, Speed =5).
Error-Message: An error occurred during saving
In the german translation the program says: 'File could not be renamed'.
The german translation of the same error is different!
Maybe it helps you to faster find the error. Thank you!

If you have installed the setup, please rename libde265.dll into de265.dll

Re: XnViewMP 1.6.0 - Saving single AVIF file does not work!
I did a fresh install of the XnviewMP.exe and get the error message.
Now I tried the xnviewmp.zip file and avif file saving works fine!
You are right. It is a problem of the wrong filename of the x265 library.
I renamed it to de265.dll and now it works fine.
Thank you!
