I have the same error on ubuntu 22.04 when I am trying to open video or just click right mouse button on it. Segmentation Fault and application crashes. Xnview 1.7.1 64-bit (Linux) - Libformat 7.176

on X11, could you change debug=2 in xnview.ini, and send me the logs?
