Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
First of all, thank you for response. The library is installed on my system. I seached for file and it is symlinked to libkrb5.so.3.3 which is in the same folder as symlink. I'm suprised that there is libaray problem as I read AppImage should have all neccessary libraries.

I've perhaps forget to add itmaxi01 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 3:25 pm First of all, thank you for response. The library is installed on my system. Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
hello pierre,
i would like to join in and ask for an updated appimage version, too. and if your time permits, could you please also add 2 great features?
+ embed update information, for quick delta updates via AppImageUpdate-x86_64.AppImage. for enhanced security, i believe it is even possible to have the information signed by its author
+ enable system-integration, so that XnView_MP.glibc2.17-x86_64.AppImage becomes accessible system-wide
all the best

Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
unfortunately i have no luck with the new version either:
Code: Select all
$ ./XnView_MP.glibc2.18-x86_64.AppImage
/tmp/.mount_XnVieweHcKOB/usr/XnView/XnView: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.3: undefined symbol: k5_buf_free, version krb5support_0_MIT

Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
Sorry, if I'm necromancing old topic. I still have error: " tmp/.mount_XnViewmywrnT/usr/XnView/XnView: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libkrb5.so.3: undefined symbol: krb5int_push_fscreatecon_for, version krb5support_0_MIT". Error happens on Fedora 33 x64, XnView MP 0.98.2 .
Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
i can confirm, the problem still exists with the current version.
Code: Select all
/tmp/.mount_XnViewdT7BHK/usr/XnView/XnView: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libkrb5.so.3: undefined symbol: k5_buf_free, version krb5support_0_MIT

Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
I checked several previous versions on Fedora 32. The latest working one is 0.96.5.
All later 0.97.x and 0.98.x will not work.
All later 0.97.x and 0.98.x will not work.
Code: Select all
/tmp/.mount_XnViewswB20D/usr/XnView/XnView: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libkrb5.so.3: undefined symbol: krb5int_push_fscreatecon_for, version krb5support_0_MIT
Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
Error still occurs in version 0.98.3 Fedora 34 64-bit. When I run XnView with AppImage I get the same error as khambrecht. When using tar.gz version I get
Code: Select all
/home/dkrol/Programy/XnView/XnView: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: EVP_KDF_ctrl, version OPENSSL_1_1_1b
Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
XnView started properly after removing libcrypto. Thanks for help
Re: 0.98: Crash when starting XnView
alas this solution is quite outdated as XnView still not working on Fedora (F35)
if any ideas?XnView: symbol lookup error: /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: k5_utf8_to_utf16le, version krb5support_0_MIT
