XnView: MP 0.91 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit
Icons for text, pdf, archive, and "other" file types do not display properly in the browser. Sizes and positions vary with icon or file type.
To reproduce:
1. Set view>"view as" to "thumbnails" or "thumbnails + filenames/lables/details"
2. In settings, uncheck "show as thumbnail" in Browser - File list/Custom filter tab for non-image files
Actual behavior (bug): Icons for non-image files display in different sizes, with some icons showing as reduced size in the upper left corner, some icons large and centered, and some icons small and centered.
Expected behaviour: Icons for non-image files should all be centered and set to "medium" size.

Returning late - but the problem persists in 0.92
EDIT:
in 0.90 the same folder looks like this:
The zip and rtf files show small icons in the upper left corner instead of centered, while the txt icon is big and malformed.EDIT:
in 0.90 the same folder looks like this:

I can't reproduce, ZIP (7zip installed) and RTF icons are correct

Re: 0.91: Icons for non-image files display improperly in thumbnail view
Well, I'm using custom icons. The issues seem to be:
1. Icons with a maximum size of 32x32 or 48x48 get pushed to the upper left corner, rather than being centered.
2. In 256x256 icons, black is treated as transparent.
I'm attaching two of my custom icon files. You'll have to associate them with a file type to see the bug, since if you view the .ico files themselves in XnviewMP, they look OK.

For Windows 7 (and higher) the easiest way is probably to use "Default Programs Editor" http://defaultprogramseditor.com/

ok, it seems to be a problem between such icon & lastest version of QT libraries (that i use)
