concerns MP 0.60.
XnViewMP annoyingly can't move files via drag'n'drop (neither with nor without Ctrl), it always copies. I know this is already in the missing features topic, but I consider this a bug.

Re: Move files doesn't work
I use SHIFT drag-n-drop to move in xnviewmp.
The standard for Windows (and win-applications) are:
CTRL: force copy, SHIFT force move, ALT is special, in explorer it enforces creating a link.

Wow, thanks, I didn't know that (except ctrl). Though I believed I knew such stuff pretty well. I always used drag'n'drop with right mouse button and then select "move" for force moving. And this is what doesn't work in XnViewMP.

Re: Move files doesn't work
Just like jotess I almost always use right click drag&drop to get the options menu in Windows. It actually took a visit to this forum and to find this thread to become aware of shift+drag to force a move instead of copy. Unlike you I didn't even know about shift+drag in Windows. (Maybe I should know but I really didn't.)Jou wrote:I use SHIFT drag-n-drop to move in xnviewmp.

Thus: A suggestion would be to make right click drag&drop in XnView MP work like in Windows. That's the easy way and the way one is most accustomed to (I suppose?).
