Heyo
I am using XnViewMP 0.35 x64 build on Windows 7 x64.
When I activate the setting "Create thumbnails for whole folder", XnView uses 100% of a core and doesn't closes it's process after pressing "X" in the title bar.
This bug only accours when the XnViewMP Viewer gets opened external, f.e. by double clicking on abc.jpg in the Windows Explorer. When the XnViewMP process doesn't get killed, Windows will freeze and the PC needs to be resetted after open up and close XnViewMP 4 times (because I have a quad core).
If the "Create thumbnails for whole folder"-option is deactivated, there are no problems for me.

If you start XnViewMP as browser, no problem in this folder?vommie wrote:This bug only accours when the XnViewMP Viewer gets opened external, f.e. by double clicking on abc.jpg in the Windows Explorer.

Re: MP 0.35 x64 Win: 100% CPU and process freeze
I tried around some more. It looks now like XnView has problems with a couple of jpegs I have in a directory, not with the way I open them.
When I open this jpeg in XnViewMP View Mode my RAM gets filled up to 100% (8 GB), the core is also used by 100%, and sometimes my whole system is crashing. If I go into the folder where this image is stored (along with other jpegs), XnViewMP creates thumbnails till to the image, than the CPU goes up too 100% and XnView is freezing, but the RAM keeps cool. If the option "create thumbs for all ..." is activated and I open up an image from the same folder like the uploaded one, XnView is freezing because it seems to create thumbs in the background, even I open up the image into the viewer directly from the Explorer.
I have thumbnailed and viewed ten thousands of images without problems, but this image XnViewMP can't handle.
Does it work for you? Firefox and different other viewers can open the jpeg without problems.
