Some sub-categories won't show up in the categories tab (info pane) nor in the categories tab (folder pane) nor in the toolbox button even though they ARE in the db.
The hierarchical categories look promising, but let me a little bit disappointed today.
I aim to have a relatively limited amount of main categories with many sub-categories.
The problem I encountered is the following:
- I defined many sub-categories and sub-sub-categories in the categories tab of the info pane.
- I did check these new entries for the photos which do apply.
- Going forth and back through many folders, the new sub-categories are all present at any point in time until shutting XnViewMP.
- After launching XnViewMP again, some of the newly defined sub-categories are visible and some others have obviously disappeared, even though I had checked some photos under those sub-categories.
- Closing XnViewMP and looking into the XnView.db file with the SQlite Database Browser, strangely, all the created sub-categories are there and with the correct ParentID, but some of them won't show up in XnView, very frustrating.
- How can we make these hidden sub-categories visible again ?
Another strange behaviour is that sometimes, when you click on "new sub-category" in the context menu, it will not create anything at all, but these apparently not created things will be in the db file when you look into it with SQlite Database Browser and their name will be "New Category". But those won't be visible in XnViewMP either, whereas this is a bit more understandable, since there is no photo which was checked with "New Category".
Thank you

Really? Do you have a way to reproduce?Another strange behaviour is that sometimes, when you click on "new sub-category" in the context menu, it will not create anything at all, but these apparently not created things will be in the db file when you look into it with SQlite Database Browser and their name will be "New Category".
