v.0.30w Zoom into image and auto-image size

Post by marsh »

The zoom into selected area feature does not work when images are being fitted to window.
When 'no-fit' is used, images are zoomed according to selection.

Hello,
I have exactly the same issue after pressing the "/" hotkey or at the first time just after the mmb from thumbnail (except if i use one time the mouse wheel to zoom in/out before the zoom into selected area feature ), but maybe it's due to the use of XnViewMP0.30 under Linux+Wine ?
...So I'am waiting for the 0.30 MP Linux version to make some accurate tests ...

Fixed v.0.31. Fitted images are now zoomed into with selection.

Hello,
It's not fixed yet (mp 0.31 win) even if it's much better, but a problem remains (with at least smalls .jpg : here= 248x200-24 or with a small sketched rectangle).
PS: this new functionality is for me a very good improvement.

To reproduce:
take a small jpg
Go to fullscreen mode
press the "/" hotkey (for example)
and try to sketch a small rectangle to zoom-in
... nothing append ....

PS: probably due to the zoom limitation 1600% (not enough)
Maybe an new limit: 6400% ...will be a solution - so 4 steps more by default ?

Of course, with the same rules as here:

And/or display should not reset when image has already exceeded limit?

Yes, I agree
So, for me, no limit in case of selected zoom area (or only several pixels displayed on the screen)
And the thumbnail at the bottom right should also stay on the screen (without to have to do a Ctrl+lmb click to see it in fullscreenmode).
( Ctrl+lmb click behavior should also be bistable in all cases - ON/OFF , like for the shortcut Information "i" Show/Hide)

Add a new functionality/way, to quickly zoom-out by fitting the image to the screen (like "/") but with the mouse (for example: one lmb click on image ( or in case of a tiny sketched rectangle) --- and/or --- a double lmb click into the thumb zoom preview ....) ?

Done with MP0.32 (limit to 1600% with the linux version here), Thank you Pierre,

Still to do...

PS: actually (into MP0.32L) a simple lmb mouse click makes a 1600% zoom-in ( behavior a little bit annoying... ), it will be better, for a lmb mouse click, to have the "fit to windows factor zoom", so a zoom-out -
or the same zoom level than the custom setting into : View \ Preview \ Auto Image size \ Fit Image to Windows (large only)
