On just large pictures MP zooms in to 25%, than in a second zooms back to whole image, and then I can zoom all the way to 100%.
On very large ones, 10000x10000 and more, MP either zooms to like 20% and tells it's 100%, or zooms to 25% and refuses to zoom further.
I've uploaded an image to test on, it is 27 MB, 11137x14907 map. XnView 1.97 has no problems with it.
By the way, thank you for the MP version: I'm turning to ubuntu soon :)

I encounter no problems using MP to open that image. Zooming behaves correctly.
OTOH, 1.97.8 will open it in full screen and zoom properly, but will not open it in a tab, showing a "Warning: Not enough memory" message, instead.
WinXP, 2Gb.

Ok, here are steps to reproduce the bug on my system (XP SP2, 2GB RAM), I've just done the same to make screenshots:
1. Download http://download.xnview.com/XnViewMP-win.zip (MP 0.26.1 beta)
2. Unpack and run xnview.exe from that folder
3. Open ld_1947.jpg (or run "xnview.exe ld_1947.jpg" from command line, doesn't matter)
4. Press '*': http://not.textual.ru/zverik/2/3/xnmp-100percent.gif (note '100%' at the bottom)
5. Zoom in to 400%: http://not.textual.ru/zverik/2/3/xnmp-400percent.gif
5.1. (and scroll to the center, because xnviewmp zooms to the upper left corner: very uncomfortable)
6. Close XnViewMP and open XnView 1.97 (I use 1.97.2)
7. Open ld_1947.jpg and press '*': http://not.textual.ru/zverik/2/3/xn197-100percent.gif

Re: MP 0.26.1 WinXP: cannot zoom in to 100% on very large im
The problem persists in MP 0.31w.
Also, I wasn't able to open images with double-click or Enter: they were being opened in default XnView instead. I had to manually choose 'Open' in pop-up menu.
