MP 0.26.1 (WinXP): Favorites-tab empty at startup

Post by Troken »

I have the favorites-tab on top of the other tabs.
At startup, the tab-content is empty (grey).
I solve this by clicking on another tab, and the back on favorites-tab - and then the favorites show correctly.
Maybe somebody can confirm this?

:) Hello !

• I can't confirm, here when MP is closed with that tab as active, I get alright the favourites list
and the tab label OK at a new start-up… I display the tabs at the bottom (under the tree-dock.)
- Maybe is it OS-related ? Win XP-Pro SP2 here - 1 GiB RAM…

Good morning Clo! I use Win XP-Pro SP3 at the moment. I will check this on a Win7-machine as well. I was about to make a print screen, but after fiddeling around with new favorites, it is working as it should. So... I dont know. If I encounter this again, I'll make a print screen.

Confirmed on XPsp3 for one incident.

Perhaps when MP is paged out, then paged back in, the favorites control is not refreshed correctly.

I've got the same problem too on Vista :(

... I create a favourite folder in one session, close XnMP and then start XnMP again. I trust that this issue will be resolved in time.

This issue happened again (Win Vista).....

I am trying very hard to reproduce a method and I will report back when I get a method of reproducing this.

The good news is that when it happened, I went to the Window's AppData folder, then opened the Bookmarks.ini and I found that the 'Favoutires' info was still present (folder name, file path's). This leads me to assume that this issue may be more of GUI related in the next session displays of 'Favourites'. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I will try best to reproduce and see again.....

I can't reproduce it. It's not after a crash??
When you have this bug, click on folder tab and favorites tab to show it again...

Hi,

I've got the same bug on Windows Vista.
It's not every startup. There is a 50/50 Chance for this bug.
No crash, normal program using.

1) Starting the program as usual
2) Settings saved to display favorites tab as first tab after program start
3) Favorites tab is fully clear as shown on the before posted screenshot
4) How to bring it back? Deactivate favorites tab, and activate it directly after to bring it back
5) Favorites tab is shown again until next program start

No Crashes, No other bugs, No abnormal using.
