This should be eliminated if possible. It's not good, it might be considered as freezing or crash and users don't like that. It's the old problem also from XnView Win. MP is still beta but such problems are important too and should be solved before MP will be released officially.
Some general processing dialog should be shown in such cases, with estimated remaining time and % if possible. Also a minimize button would be useful for long operations.
XnView is not responding when removing thumbnails from cache for example.
Windows Vista, XnView MP v0.25 beta (not released yet!, but I believe also in previous version).
