MP 0.20 Mac OSX 10.4

Post by nerbrume »

Hello,
I can't launch XnView on OSX 10.4 (mac intel), it crashes on launch with the following error:

Code: Select all

Link (dyld) error:

Symbol not found: _realpath$DARWIN_EXTSN
  Referenced from: /Users/me/Desktop/xnviewMP.app/Contents/MacOS/xnview
  Expected in: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
I'm planning on moving to 10.6 soon, so this is no big deal, but I just let you know.

Other than that, I tried 0.20 on Win, and it's fast and efficient. Bravo and thanks a lot, Pierre !

Hey everybody,

I got nearly same message:
I tried to install XnView MP 0.21 on my MacBook Pro 1.1 (Intel) on OS X 10.4.11. But it did'nt work. After decompressing (42,2 MB) and installing, I got the message, that the procedure could not be finished because of an unexpected problem, but OS ist not affected.
Someone in the forum was telling something about XnView MP 0.21 is not suitable for Intel Macs, or it is only running with X11 (by the way, i got X11 SDK from the OS X-CD).

Obversioly MP 0.12 is running fine. Thing is, that i have to edit IPTC captions and im not really a friend of Photo-Mechanic.
Are there any options or expierence to get it run an my Mac?

regards Juergen
