XnView has a great feature where it can use photos stored on an external hard drive, now I learn there is a zip version which can also be stored on the same hard drive, can we get the option to store settings like picture ratings from star to checked boxes onto a hard drive? This way xnview can be completely portable.
According to https://www.xnview.com/wiki/index.php/S ... _Ini_Files the files that record that data is stored in two .ini files and they can have their location changed using "Tools > Options" however I don't see an options under tools. I do see under settings>Integration>Paths the option to change .ini from User (system) to Program (xnview) which I now keep on my external hard drive but I'm worried that if I update the zip with a newer version zip it will copy over the settings files, so I'd rather keep all my settings in it's own folder beside the xnview folder.
Now the site does say "The two .ini files 'xnview.ini' and 'bookmark.ini' which are used to store the settings and the favourites of XnView, are not part of the installation and uninstallation and will not be changed or deleted. So when updating, the settings will be untouched and won't be lost." However we are talking about hours of work under risk so I would really appreciate either an option to choose where those files can be saved (just to be safe) or some kind of assurance that yes, those files will not be replaced.
