the weak point of the program is precisely the video section

there is a lot to improve in the video options, there are a lot of features to add

It is a section that requires many improvements and add many options, but at least we can play video and that's good

and in the audio section, there are also many options to add, but at least we can play audio too

The strong point of the program are the images, let's hope in the audio and video sections more features will be added

I don't really appreciate it as an integrated browser, because it will make the program more heavy and bugs, and it should focus on the development of pictures. :(

why upload, there are plenty free video editing software, e.g. LosslessCut, HandBrake or even DaVinci Resolve

Yes. The focus is image browser and related functions, not video editing. In my opinion, the video player could also be excluded.
Otherwise, soon someone will be asking to integrate a text editor, an Internet browser, a CAD program and a game. All this does not make sense.

your argument went another way

only talked about video and possible audio features

but I agree that we can play audio and video, and not continue to integrate more features, but it would not be bad if
pierre integrate more functionality

but it's fine as it is now, I'm happy as it is now

we can play video and audio, basic player but fine

It always starts out like this, and then you get to a program that wants to do everything and does everything wrong.

If XnViewMP can display video, that must be enough. The same goes for audio.
Other people have already mentioned that there are many free programs that specialize in video processing. Same for audio.
As for me, if I have to edit a video, I open it with Shotcut. Now I'm also looking at Olive. For audio I use Audacity.
If I only have to visualize, I use audio and/or video players. I don't use XnViewMP for this. Double click on the file and the specific program starts.
Otherwise, I would like an HTML editor to insert HTML tags into full screen info. And so on.

I completely agree with you

display video and audio is a must!... no more is needed!, Pierre should not remove those functionality

Regarding the images, we must continue to implement more functions and fix the bugs that we found

and that´s all
