Label, Rating menus shall be disabled when Catalog is off

Post by user0 »

XnViewMP 1.4.3 64bits
Windows11 64bit (22H2), display resolution 3840x2160, win scaling 150%

Browser, Viewer
I guess all Label and Rating menus (in toolbar, context, via icon on thumbnail) shall be disabled when Catalog is disabled in Settings.

right, have not thought about that

This functionality enables by these Settings (pic below) (disabled by default), right?
If so, maybe make items suggested in top post enabled/disabled status evaluating these settings as well.

However this is not a big deal, have no wish to overcomplicate things.
It is just a bit confusing to be able to set Rating/Labes (when Catalog is disabled) and have no effect in the end.

One may wish to make markings in xmp only, and then send photos to a correspondent, or move them later in a folder not included in the personal catalog.

Maybe it's easier to disable catalog before marking, but it's a bit scary to see hundreds of categories disappear.
