Reduce height of close icons (X) in tab bar

Post by exener »

For landscape monitors (which is most monitors), vertical space is at a premium.

Unfortunately, when XnView MP's option to include close buttons (X) for each tab is enabled, the height of each tab increases significantly (at least on the systems I tested).

It will be beneficial to reduce the height of the close icons present in each tab so that they do not increase the height of the tabs.

TIA.

Hi. Are you referring to the OS theme or an XnView MP theme?

The 'X' buttons I'm referring to are the ones in XnView MP's tab bar, which are distinct from those provided by the OS to close the XnView MP window itself.

I agree with @exener that "for landscape monitors (which is most monitors), vertical space is at a premium". I would very much appreciate any method that allows me to minimise or even hide elements that I don't need. See my other thread about the possibility of hiding the Tab bar and yet supporting the Tab switching keyboard shortcuts, newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=44675 . That would greatly help me.

I noted how the close-buttons bloat up the tab bar as well - that's why I turned the buttons off
Pr0 tip: You can use the middle-mouse-button to close any tab (also works in Firefox etc.). This technique is lightning-fast and requires less precision.
