Continuation of viewtopic.php?f=62&t=44452&p=183106.
Adding metadata using "Edit IPTC" to a NEF file will embed them into the file.
I didn't know that was possible from inside XnviewMP ! I am very, very happy with this but this raises several questions...
- In wich version this ability was created ?
- Is XnviewMP officially able to modify RAW files, and which ones?
- Consistency issues :
------ Edit IPTC will embed metadata, catalog no, with same settings about metadata...
------ "Setting > Metadata > side car" is Yes and greyed out for raw files. User should be able to set this setting to Yes or No since embedded metadata are handled and applied without consent.

the ones supported by ExifTool- Is XnviewMP officially able to modify RAW files, and which ones?
