Linux - Browser should be able to see any drive on the system

I had to switch back to image viewer because XN-MP doesn't show me available drives.
I spent an hour searching for my mnt folder to get to an drive on my system.
If I open a picture it on that drive it works, but it will not populate the browser from that volume/folder.

I know it's extra work. but the browser should really be able to see any drive on the system.

I have 4 drives on this system so far. 2x 1 GB SSD, 1x 4TB HD, and 1x 500GB HD.
