Often additional image files are stored in a folder where the EXIF date does not match the rest of the photos, so the sort order is not correct.
Example:
Photos from a visit to a restaurant or museum:
I took photos of the visit (with correct EXIF date).
And I complete the collection with a scan of the receipt or ticket.
The scan has no EXIF date or the date of the scan time.
I want the file with the receipt or ticket to get the EXIF date from the other photos.
So far I had to enter the correct date manually (using cmd_changeTime).
Here a tool would be great that works like this:
1. select both files.
2. a dialog appears that shows both image files and the existing EXIF dates.
3. transfer EXIF data from file 1 to file 2 (or vice versa).
Transferring the EXIF date from one image to another.

I think this would be tricky to implement, since I can't even figure it out using the exiv2 command-line tools.

As an idea or suggestion how this function could look like
In the end it would work similar to the already existing "Compare" function
You select two photos,
call the function
and then the window for the function appears.
On the left the photo is displayed with EXIF date.
When you press the button, this EXIF date is transferred from the left photo to the right one.
