Shortcuts/improvements for replace window when copying duplicate items

Post by MarlonB »

Hi,

When I move an image to a directory which already holds an image with the same name, I get the windows which asks me to replace image X with image Y.

The default option is "Skip", which is great, but it would be even better if I could just press enter to select the "skip" button. At this time, I need to use the mouse each time, which means reaching over for the mouse. Pressing enter would be faster (for me, at least), and would not interfere with people using the mouse.

Also, would it be possible to add shortcuts to the other buttons? For example Alt+R for rename? Again so I wouldn't have to use the mouse to press the button, which would increase working speed.

Last, would it be possible to add an option for choosing how to rename the new file? The suggestion now is "copy of [file]", which is annoying for me. I use another tool which removes duplicate files based on name (alphabetically), so "copy of X" mostly appears before "x", meaning the copy is kept, and the original file is removed. To avoid this, I need to manually rename each time. It would be awesome to have an option to configure renaming to:
  • copy of x: as it is now, default behaviour so as not to interfere with how the software works now
  • x (copy # x): which would help me and other tools to keep the original files grouped
Just a few minor suggestions to improve already extremely useful software!

Thanks for your work so far,

Marlon
