Steps to repro:
1) Navigate to a place that contains multiple folders
2) In Quick Search field enter a string to filter the view to a few folders
3) Go into one of those folders.
4) Try clicking the "Back" button (left arrow) in the toolbar
Expected: it should take me back to the previous folder with the filtered view in the quick search. Such behavior would be consistent with Windows Explorer.
Actual: it takes me to the previous folder without the filtered view. This is inconsistent with Windows Explorer.
Suggestion how to fix: XnViewMP should remember the searched view (folder and string in Quick Search) as a step in the history of visited locations, so the "back" and "forward" buttons work properly.

Re: Back and Forward don't work with Quick Search view
Would it be possible to implement this in the next version?
Re: Back / Forward buttons neglect Quick Search
yes, currently only folder are saved in history
Pierre.
Re: Back / Forward buttons neglect Quick Search
Is there any way to fix it so the behavior is consistent with Windows Explorer? (i.e. quick searches are also saved in the history)
Re: Back / Forward buttons neglect Quick Search
I would like to come back to this topic to see if it would be possible to add this feature. It's really important for me. As it is, I have to copy/paste the string in the Quick Search before entering any folders because after entering any folder and then going back the quick search string is gone.
