Import options from Windows version of XnView
Do you plan some feature to import (at least some) options from Windows version of XnView?

Pierre.
Re: Import options from Windows version of XnView
Well, there is the issue of there not being a one-to-one correspondence between options in the two versions...
...but yes, I personally would want the ability to "send" settings between the two versions.
Except for enhancements only available in MP, I think the two products (1.96.x and MP) should behave identically. This means the same options in the INI files, too.

Perhaps a small tool for an easy one-time import might be interesting, but little effort should be put into this.
I think options are not changed very often, so a special functionality for exchanging the settings over and over again would be an overkill.

Hi Helmut!
Exchanging settings files between XnView Win and XnView MP mostly depends on the future of XnView Win and the relationship between the two tools. Will I always (or for the foreseeable future) need to run both to make full use of XnView productivity?
Hard to say... even (perhaps) for Pierre.
Well they would be (by me anyway) if named INI files could be saved/restored. See my related post about this sort of thing here!helmut wrote:I think options are not changed very often
