There continues to be a vast paucity of assistance for batch operations using NConvert, even after 19 years of patience.
The current/latest text file -help provides:
If anyone can work out from that line how that command can be used, it would be a magnificence added to the universe.

I think you could gain some insight into how to use the NConvert HLS option by experimenting on an image opened in XnView MP Image > Adjust > Enhance colors... and noting the HLS values displayed when you obtain the result you need...
It sems reasonable to expect that values obtained in XnView MP will produce a similar result in NConvert.
