nconvert producing rotated conversions of .c4 files

Post by RayWeidner »

Hi, I have a question about nconvert.

Whenever I convert a .c4 file to other formats (tried png and jpeg), the final image is rotated 90 degrees from the original source file. I've tried counter rotating using the -rotate_flag and -rotate arguments, but when I include -rotate, nothing is produced and there are no errors or warnings.

Is there a way to turn off this default, or to force a counter-rotation? Thanks in advance.

Are you able to upload an example .c4 file that shows the problem for Pierre to look at?

Current forum attachment limit 2MiB, and you will need to put the file in a ZIP or similar archive in order to attach it.

Otherwise, you could upload to a file hosting service and post the download link.

I guess that means that this doesn't happen with most C4 files?

I will have to see if there are any that I can share. Unfortunately, most of the images I'm working on are proprietary and cannot be distributed.

Of course, it could be my C4 viewer; maybe the images are already rotated and my client automatically normalizes it. There aren't many C4 viewers out there so I don't really have anything to compare mine to. I am using the US Army's ImageView, so if you are aware of another viewer that will display C4, please let me know.

Thanks! I'll check to see if there's anything that I can share.
