Not currently supported directly in NConvert as far as I know, but possible using the workaround of a canvas resize followed by a 'watermark' operation to paste the second image over new canvas added by the resize operation...

I have posted before fairly recently on that, I believe, if you could search the NConvert section of the forum.

Edit:

Please see this topic for an indication of how that might be done in a more complex case, your case should be easier. Note that the 'watermark' function can be regarded as a general paste function than can be used to paste any image over a part (or all) of another image.

Please see also this newer and more detailed explanation Create a contact sheet .

Note that unlike in XnView Classic and MP, there is no option to resize images for an exact fit, so NConvert would only provide a satisfactory solution for images with identical or near-identical pixel sizes.

It is possible to use the offered options of course, but this way doesn't simplify a task, and complicates. Not fresh decision... It is very strange that there is no this function... the request to add team for connection of equal images to the developer across and verticals. I think that all users will be grateful to you and this team will only decorate this program of a command line.

Join images {equivalent to the XnView MP browser option Create > Join images...] is currently missing from NConvert and could possibly be easily added when Pierre, the only developer of all XnView software, has time...

Meanwhile the workaround outlined above could be useful when similar stitch operations must be performed repetitively, and the basic batch file code above can be reasonably easily edited if required.

Please see this new request: 'Join images' currently not supported
